This project, funded by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, identifies opportunities for renewable energy and energy efficiency in the industrial sector in four Pacific Island countries: Palau, Samoa, Tonga, and Vanuatu.

Twelve case studies were drafted for projects across all four countries, with the goal of proposing one project for donor funding.

The work included:

  • Scoping missions to each of the selected countries to meet with industry leaders and assess the potential for renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies
  • Conducting technical and economic analysis for 12 case studies
  • Developing a full concept proposal for funding by an international donor agency.
